Last Thursday BioWare celebrated the second annual N7 Day with the fans of the Mass Effect video games. I had invited my battle-scarred multiplayer squad mates Stelios and Yash for dinner at our house. Silke made Shepard‘s pie for the main course, and Yash brought Banoffee Pie as dessert. We had a very nice evening. We covered a lot of topics, some even unrelated to Mass Effect.
As an awesome surprise I got a present from Stelios, a female Commander Shepard Lego mini figure:
She even has an M-8 Avenger. Brilliant! 🙂
My New Year’s resolution for 2012 was:
- Lose some weight.
- Save the galaxy from the Reaper invasion.
I achieved some progress on the first part and lost a few kilos so far. Naturally not as many as I hoped for but my weight is definitely going down.
I have however fulfilled the second part by finishing the single player campaign of Mass Effect 3 today. The Galaxy is once more save. No reapers, no Sith and nothing else lurking out there.
Let’s hope that will change soon. 🙂
During the past week I visited Delhi on a business trip. It was my first journey to India and only my second visit to Asia. As the schedule included even a tour of the Taj Mahal in Agra I was hoping to see a bit of the country. Unfortunately I had to give that trip a miss due to health problems. 🙁
But I was at least able to visit New Delhi in the afternoon as I felt a lot better by then. Here are a couple of photos I’ve taken of the India Gate monument:
There wasn’t enough time for me to really experience India. But I’ve nevertheless learned that it is a country with friendly people, chaotic traffic, delicious food and extreme contrasts.
